Vision

Our vision at Stacey Steele Psychology is to create a supportive and empowering environment for men and women to heal from trauma, build resilience, and reach meaningful personal growth.

Mission

To empower people—including therapists, helpers, and healers—to heal from trauma, recover from burnout, and reconnect with their purpose through trauma-informed education, community, and practical tools. My work honours diversity, lived experience, and inclusion while sustaining both personal well-being, community building,  and professional excellence.

Service Commitment

As settler on this land I acknowledge and honour that I reside and practice on the traditional and unceded lands of the Blackfoot Confederacy, including the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai Nations, as well as the Tsuut’ina Nation and the Stoney Nakoda Nations. I am also situated on the homelands of Metis Nation Region III.  In my practice and heart, my intention is to honour their stewardship of this land throughout generations past, present, and future.

We understand that many traditional psychological approaches are based mainly on Western ideas, which might not help everyone and that modern psychology has used Indigenous teachings from around the world without proper acknowledgement. Our goal is to challenge the usual practices by decolonizing psychology which involves actively questioning biases, valuing diverse cultural perspectives, and creating a practice that truly reflects the global tapestry of human experience.

We are dedicated to creating a welcoming environment where everyone—regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression—can thrive. This involves actively promoting understanding, challenging discrimination, and providing resources that support and affirm 2SLGBTQ+ individuals.

In our yoga practice, we honour the timeless wisdom and spiritual heritage of India, the birthplace of yoga. With reverence, we pay homage to the lineage of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras and Raja Yoga which both serve as a guiding light on the path of yoga.

We recognize that true healing extends beyond individual well-being to encompass the health and vitality of the entire community. With this in mind, we pledge to actively engage in practices of allyship, advocacy, and collaboration that promote equity, justice, and access to healthcare for all residents of Medicine Hat and beyond.
